Large acrylic paintings shown in this gallery of art works represent expansive, dynamic Southwestern skies. They symbolize archetypal imagery that reflects atoms and particles found in our ever-changing universe. Universal open patterns, immense space, and high-chromatic colored light all display vibrant visual characteristics.

It should not be surprising that large color field paintings from the 1960s and 1970s, of which my paintings are an example, resemble color and field oriented weavings for which the Navajo are famous.
